A Call for Cooperative Action

Recently a noted historian voiced an opinion about the present global economic situation. He stated that the present crisis is one of the most significant transitions the world has gone through since the industrial revolution. It is not just an economic transition, but a social and systemic transition of our individual countries’ business model of operation.

The challenges that are plaguing the world have been felt all the way to the northeast addiction and behavioral health business community. The competition for government grants and funding has increased at the same time funds have been cut back.

What the addiction and behavioral health business community will look like in the next twenty years is anyone’s guess, but there are collaborative solutions to many of the challenges that beset the field today.

The philosophy of cooperation is tied so closely to the addiction and behavioral health field that many staff work beyond the limits of their jobs to facilitate true collaboration and change. The collaborative infrastructure that could make the difference between success and failure in the addiction and behavioral health business community is already built and just waiting for organizations to rise to the challenge.

The Addiction and Behavioral Health Career publishing group, which is made up of a print magazine, an eNewsletter, community resource guide, website, and much more, acts as a guide to collaborative solutions for those in the addiction and behavioral health business community.

ABH Career magazine will deliver relevant and timely information for students entering the field, for seasoned directors managing multi-million dollar organization, and everyone in between. ABH Career takes into account that a career in the addiction and behavioral health field starts at a young age and runs through the entire course of one’s life.

In many ways a publishing group is a collaborative venture relying on the change makers in the field to share their ideas and knowledge with the entire community. Our hope is that you also add your voice to ABH Career and its mission to support positive change.
